Introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic and retained as a long-stay tourism option, the STV allows stays of up to 270 days (90 days initial plus two 90-day extensions). Application Steps

Purchase qualifying health insurance with minimum USD 100,000 coverage.

Apply at the Thai Embassy

Submit all documents at the Royal Thai Embassy in London. Processing typically takes 5-10 working days.

Extend in-country

Before your initial 90 days expire, visit a Thai Immigration office to apply for each 90-day extension. Each extension costs 1,900 THB.
